Fluid simulation is widely used in entertainment industries. Efficiently reproducing real-world fluid phenomena in virtual environments is key to enhancing the sense of reality of the visual appearance in various applications. Among different simulation methods SPH (Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics) based fluid simulation technique earns popularity among computer graphics community due to its highly parellalizability, well extensibility and easy-to-control behavior. This talk will discuss several methods to reproduce multiple-fluid and multiphase phenomena in computer graphics using SPH simulation achieving interactive to real-time simulation speed. 


Dr. Bo Ren is a lecturer at the Colledge of Computer and Control Engineering, Nankai University. He received his B.E and Ph.D degrees both from Tsinghua University, China in 2010 and 2015, respectively. His research interest includes physically-based simulation and rendering, scene geometry reconstruction and analysis.
